For Guenther Oka, life on the water was a family affair. Growing up he spent his summers at his family’s home on Lake Williamstown in Georgia and by the age of 3 he was already being taught techniques on skis, boards and barefoot. Soon, riding waves became second nature.

In 2015, Guenther made the move to Orlando to test the pro wakeboard waters. At the time, he could never have imagined wakeboarding would take him around the world. The rookie cable rider advanced to a handful of finals, collected a podium and finished 12th in the 2015 Wake Park World Series Pro Features rankings.
