On the Loose

Today was a classical windy day in Cape Town, South Africa!! As I can’t ride I came up with an idea to get rid of either Lewis or Aaron’s hair. I got my shadowbox out and set-up a battle of who would jump highest today.

Nice waves and a gnarly wind were the right ingredients for some biggies!

I was getting fully sandblasted on the beach but had a blast watching them trying to survive in these gnarly conditions. It was definitely strong and all kinds of stuff went on actually, haha! Azza lost his kite in the beginning and got up to some swimming, Lew had to really step on the brakes at some point when the wind was just picking up really strong in this one long gust.

After the sesh we checked the results on the shadowbox and viewed their ride in 3D. Pretty insane tool that is! Good for measuring all kinds of data to set up any good battle. So it came out that Lewis lost the highest jump contest. Azza had 53,6ft and Lewis had 49,3ft. I’m sure they can go bigger but it was pretty harsh out there today and getting jumps of 15mtr ain’t that bad!!

It was great cutting Lewis’s hair of and get rid of those dreads! Whoooop. Whooooop!!
